How do I set up an email account using my domain name in Outlook Express?
You will need to be familiar with your Internet Server Provider's SMTP email.
- Click on " Tools"

- Then click on " Accounts"

You should then highlight you current email address and click on " Properties" . Then click on " Server" and right down your ISP's incoming mail address
- At the top, right, click on " Add" and
then " Mail"

- Add the name you would like displayed when
someone receives email from you and click " Next"

- On this screen enter the email address you set
up in your control panel. Example
Sales@yourdomainname.com. Then click " Next"

This is where you enter the information you wrote down earlier.
The first box is your domain mail server or IP address. Only
use the IP address if your domain name is not working yet.
The second box is where you put your ISP's outgoing SMTP mail
information. Then click " Next"

mail.yourdomainname.com

If your ISP requires that you use your username and password
with them to get your mail then enter it here. If your ISP does
not require this information, uncheck the remember password box.
If you don't know then leave this blank and you can go back
later. When your through click " Next" and then " Finish"

Now highlight your new email address and click on " Properties" .
On the " General" tab you should probably change the name that is
there to something you can recognize. This is where you can also
change any settings that you have previously set up.

Send an email to yourself to make sure all the settings are correct. If you do not receive an email, check to see if you are using password authentication (found in properties) and do the opposite of what you currently have. If you set it up with the username and password your ISP gave you and you are not receiving your mail. Then uncheck " Remember this password" . Also, you might also try un checking " include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing.
